Châtillon doesn't live in its past but with it. Its heritage isn't only present but it is also used every day by its inhabitants. The covered market built in the XVth century shelters fairs and markets (every saturdays morning). One walks along the ramparts of the old Castle and under the Villars gate door. The old hospital is now an active cultural center. The Saint Andrew's gothic church built in the XIIIth century shelters a new monumental organ. All the historic monuments are living and perfectly preserved.
